This scenic country tour includes a stop at Kylemore Abbey, boat cruise on the Killary fjord and a visit to the city of tribes, Galway Taking a scenic route to Oughterard, the 'The Gateway to Connemara', you will pass through many quaint towns and enjoy beautiful scenery before you enter the national park, which has no boundary lines but is marked by its beauty and panoramic, unspoiled views.
Your next stop is to Kylemore Abbey, said to be one of the most romantic castles in Ireland. Here you can get some photos of this amazing setting and relax for some lunch (not included).
Afterwards you will visit the bohemian city of Galway. Known best for its brightly painted pubs, live music and cafés. Galway is a city steeped in history, explore the meandering streets and listen to the many street performers from around the world who call this city their home. Remnants of the medieval town walls lie between shops selling Aran sweaters, handcrafted Claddagh rings and stacks of second-hand and new books. This “City of Tribes” will be a highlight of your day tour. You then set out on your way back to Dublin and reminisce about your adventure to Ireland’s wild west.

The tour involves cross-country driving, taking up a noticeable portion of the trip. Please be prepared for a long day.
One of our staff members will be wearing an “Irish Day Tour” jacket and will be calling the different tours to guide them to the bus.
A car seat is not mandatory, however for safety reasons, we would recommend it is used on our tours. You can bring your own car seat on board for free, or you can rent one for €15.

If you’ve purchased tickets for the Cliffs of Moher boat tour, you can change or cancel bookings on our website. A transferable voucher or credit note will be issued, to be redeemed at a date of your choice.
If you cancel the tour within 24 hours, you can choose another date (subject to availability). If you’re late for the bus or don’t make it for any reason, however, you will be fully charged for the tour.
At Irish Day Tours, we need at least eight passengers for each tour. We wait until 3:00 PM the day before the tour to reach this number. Otherwise, we have to cancel and will contact you with the details.
